I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your further communication of March 9th, and would state, for the information of His Excellency, The Governor, that on the arrival, on the 9th instant, of the U.S.S. Wyoming, J. McDougall Commander, I forwarded to him a copy of your first communication, with the purport of my answer thereto, and have received a reply from which I extract the following:
You were correct in stating to the Harbour Master, respecting the proceedings of the "Wyoming" - the Correspondence between ... and ... 2nd, 3rd and 4th March, 1864 ... with instructions for his future guidance.
